Richard (Dick) Trombley, 89, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Monday November 21. He is survived by his wife Joyce, sons Edward (Rachel), Joe, Steve (Jennifer), Tim (Marianne), Andy (Joni) and daughter Chris Bloom (Steve). Also surviving are his brother Don, sisters Gerry, Dawn and Audrey as well as sixteen grandchildren: Nathan, Nick, Nitosha, Tiffany, Josh, Jessie, Jenna, Ty, Brandon, Adam, Jackie, Gary, Keith, Shane, Cierra and Sydney and seven great grandchildren: Talen, Kalliope, Teagan, Trae, Mason, Maddox and Jovi. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley, and his sister Lois.

Also surviving are his brother Don, sisters Gerry, Dawn and Audrey as well as sixteen grandchildren: Nathan, Nick, Nitosha, Tiffany, Josh, Jessie, Jenna, Ty, Brandon, Adam, Jackie, Gary, Keith, Shane, Cierra and Sydney and seven great grandchildren: Talen, Kalliope, Teagan, Trae, Mason, Maddox and Jovi. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley, and his sister Lois.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather as well as a successful businessman.
Richard was born and raised in the Adirondack Mountains (Port Leyden) in New York. He loved the area, built a camp & pond near his birthplace and returned to it throughout this lifetime to enjoy the natural beauty, fishing and hunting.
Richard was a proud Navy veteran who served his country during WWII. A highlight of his recent years was participating in an Honor Flight in the summer of 2014.
He founded Trombley Tire & Auto in 1960 and was very proud of his strong commitment to customer service. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Elks Club, Moose Club, VFW and American Legion. He served as president of the Kiwanis Club and on various boards and committees.
Richard spent an active retirement in Florida entertaining family & friends, golfing, reading and watching all baseball games he could.

A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held on Saturday December 3rd from 4-9pm, at the Elks Club in Penn Yan, New York. All friends, neighbors and business associates are welcome to attend and share memories with the family.

Richard will be remembered at a memorial Mass being celebrated at St. Michael's church in Penn Yan, New York on Monday, December 5th at 4pm.
